QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER SALARY: $126,396.56 - $175,972.90 Annually South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives within our Monitoring and Analysis Division. POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Executive Officer, the Quality Assurance Manager will oversee and direct the agency's quality assurance program to ensure measurement quality objectives are achieved across air monitoring, laboratory testing, source testing, and analytical programs. This leadership position is responsible for developing and managing quality assurance plans, procedures, audits, training programs, and corrective action systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental standards. QUALIFICATIONS Evidence of the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated, in part, by graduation from an accredited college or university, preferably with a major emphasis in chemistry, engineering, physics, or a related field; and experience evaluating air pollution measurement procedures and methods. A master's degree in engineering, chemistry or a related field may substitute for some managerial, administrative or direct supervisory experience.
