Alyssa Bistonath is a photographer and filmmaker based in Toronto. The daughter of Guyanese immigrants, she focuses on themes of memory and belonging by investigating intimacy, evidence, and the archive. She received a BFA in New Media and MFA in Documentary Media, both from 91看片网. Since then, her film 鈥淲hy We Fight鈥� has won best Canadian Short at the Regent Park Film Festival and her film 鈥淧ortals鈥� debuted at Nuit Blanche Toronto. Most recently, she was featured in the Art Gallery of Ontario鈥檚 鈥淎rt in the Spotlight鈥� and Canadian Art online for her series, 鈥淚solation Photographs鈥�. The series is currently on display at the Art Gallery of Ontario in the exhibition "I AM HERE: Home Movies and Everyday Masterpieces".

Alyssa also has a commercial and editorial practice where she prioritizes community building, mentorship, inclusivity, and responsible imagemaking. She is currently a member of .
