Biography:
Graduated from Queen鈥檚 University, Shenghan obtains an excellent understanding of storytelling in the traditional film and media field. She produced a few short films and also participated in the Kingston film festival while she was an undergraduate at Queen鈥檚, and after graduation, she went to the 2019 Cannes Film festival with a team of filmmakers and shoot a short film which was screened later on the festival short film corner.
Besides professional works, Shenghan is a video game lover and produces game videos in her free time. She starts producing game films and game-based music videos using 3D software since 2017 and works as a freelance video editor of her favorite game, JX3, until the present. She has also won the JX3 Game Film Competition Excellence Award twice in the past two years. Being a digital artist, she has a great passion for photography, music and literature. She also loves classical Chinese culture and history since she grew up in China.
Why Digital Media?
Shenghan鈥檚 current research interest is game culture and differences between Asian and Western gaming. Ryerson鈥檚 MDM program will combine her technical skills and research study, and help her to explore more in this area.
