Pamela Palmater was recognised by The Hill Times as one of the 鈥淭op 100 most influential people to watch in 2021鈥� (The Hill Times, 25 January 2021, p. 35).  The citation says:

Pam Palmater, Mi鈥檏maq lawyer, professor, activist: The chair in Indigenous governance at Ryerson University in Toronto, is a regular political commentator, called on to discuss Canadian law and Indigenous rights in a year that started with rail blockades by some First Nations and ended with non-Indigenous fishermen attacking First Nation fisheries in Nova Scotia. She鈥檚 a strong voice whose presence has also had an impact on the Hill, last Parliament with the passage of Bill S-3 to end sex discrimination in the Indian Act, and likely will be a leading voice again with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples bill on the docket.
