Do you ever wonder how cities can tackle climate change or balance growth with protecting ecosystems, or whose voices get left out of environmental decision-making?
In 91看片网 (91看片网)'s Environmental and Urban Sustainability degree program, you鈥檒l learn in labs and field settings and gain additional perspectives on environmental problems. This program helps you become as comfortable discussing environmental policy and ethics as you are collecting a water sample or mapping urban land use.
You鈥檒l develop the analytical skills, scientific literacy and professional competencies needed to work in research, consulting, government or community advocacy.
If you care about the environment and want to be prepared to actually do something about it in a rigorous, ethical and collaborative way, you鈥檒l be equipped to make a real impact.

Academic requirements for full-time, 4-year program
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required Grade 12 U course with a minimum grade of 70%:
- English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.
Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 91看片网 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.

First-year fieldwork offers students opportunities for real-world data collection and observation
First-year Environmental and Urban Sustainability students in GEO 131: Energy, Earth and Ecosystems and GEO 141: Geography and GIS traced a local urban watershed from its headwaters to its outlet during an immersive, full-day field trip. The experience grounded core program concepts in real-world landscapes, giving students an on-the-ground look at the human and environmental forces shaping urban ecosystems.
Students evaluated water quality and stream remediation strategies in the field, observing how ecological restoration, stormwater management and community planning combine to revitalize degraded urban waterways.
