The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a government financial aid program made up of grants and loans that can help you pay for school.

OSAP can be a deciding factor in attending post-secondary. We never want finances to be a barrier to education, so we鈥檙e going to break down the OSAP process and make it as easy as possible for you. OSAP is a government financial aid program that can help you pay for college or university. There are 2 types of funding available:
Grants: Money for your time in school that you don鈥檛 have to pay back.
Loans: Money you pay back starting 6 months after you finish school.
While OSAP can be made up of grants and loans, you don鈥檛 have to accept the loan portion. You can use OSAP to help pay for your tuition, books and other school fees.
