Searching for Winnetou: Explores the controversy surrounding cultural appropriation of Indigenous culture in an innovative, hilarious, unnerving, yet inspiring way. Drew Hayden Taylor, co-director, writer and narrator talk about the film making process. and answer questions from the audience.
In Jesus' Name: Is a poignant all-Indigenous English and Cree-English collaborative documentary film (42 mins) that breaks long-held silences imposed upon indigenous children who were interned at the notoriously violent St. Anne鈥檚 Residential School in Fort Albany First Nation, Ontario. Film maker Susan G. Enberg and Survivor Elder Louis Knapaysweet will be present for a talk back.
